The Ames Chamber of Commerce and Ames Economic Development Commission are pleased to recognize Sydney Dighton in her new position and welcome Casey Nickel to the Chamber team.
“We are excited to welcome Sydney as our Project Coordinator and Casey as Client Services Coordinator,” says Dan Culhane, President and CEO of the Ames Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission. “Sydney’s previous experience working at the Ames Chamber of Commerce will be beneficial to her position and to our team, and we are pleased that Casey has joined us.”
In her position as Project Coordinator, Dighton will be supporting Ames Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development projects, will act as a staff liaison to The Ames Foundation, oversee grant applications and coordinate contract fulfillment.
Dighton, originally from Clemons, Iowa, received her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology, Criminal Justice and Sociology from Iowa State University in 2017. Dighton began her position on September 3 and can be contacted at sydney@ameschamber.com
As Client Service Coordinator, Nickel will oversee front desk operations, coordinate office meeting space, membership referrals, event registration and relocation packet information.
Nickel originates from Des Moines, Iowa, and received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Simpson College in 2018. Nickel began her position on September 3 and can be contacted at casey@ameschamber.com
