Community

The City of Gilbert is two miles north of Ames, just west of U.S. Highway 69. Gilbert Community School District is one of the best school districts in the state and the student population continues to grow as Ames develops further north.

Gilbert has a strong business climate as a result of a fully occupied Main Street, an expanding school system, and an active, engaged population. These factors, coupled with a welcoming nature and close proximity to U.S. Highway 69 and Interstate 35, make Gilbert a strong and vibrant community.
