Ames Chamber of Commerce

The Ames Chamber of Commerce works to strengthen the long-term economic vitality of its 600+ members and the community. This is accomplished through a variety of services focusing on exposure, networking, education, and leadership development. The Ames Chamber of Commerce serves as the umbrella organization for the AEDC and the Ames Main Street Cultural District, providing staff support and other resources.

Ames Main Street Farmers' Market

Led by an advisory board and staff of the Main Street Cultural District and the Ames Chamber of Commerce, the Ames Main Street Farmers' Market is be a bigger, more cohesive and dynamic showcase for consumers to buy directly from Iowa vendors/producers offering seasonal fresh fruit, vegetables, meats, cheeses, arts, crafts, fresh flowers, plants and much more. In addition to the variety of vendors, the Market also provides live local entertainment and children’s activities each week. 

Main Street Cultural District

The Main Street Cultural District's (MSCD) mission is to advance and promote downtown as the destination district in the heart of the Ames community. The concept has been strongly embraced by numerous community businesses, organizations, and individual residents. MSCD is an investor based organization, open to anyone in the community that would like to support its development and enjoy its benefits.

Campustown Action Association

The Campustown Action Association (CAA) is made up of Ames and ISU community members who seek to improve and promote all that is Campustown.  We are passionate about the students, the residents, the businesses, the culture, and the overall atmosphere that makes Campustown such a unique and energetic place.  We are business owners, active community members, students, faculty, property owners, and just people who love the area.

CAA serves as a catalyst for private and public partnerships in Campustown and works with the City of Ames and Iowa State University to foster economic, cultural, aesthetic, and social progress to ensure that Campustown is a place that will inspire a sense of pride in everyone.

Young Professionals of Ames

Formed in 2002 and affiliated with the Ames Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals of Ames (YPA) exists to connect young professionals with each other, the business community, and the city in which we live, work and thrive.

Mission: To be leaders dedicated to improving the quality of life in Ames, and to establish a community of young professionals dedicated to building and fostering relationships through: leadership development, professional development, community outreach, and cultural and social opportunities.
