Pharmaceutical company announce plans to expand in Ames

Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica recently announced plans to expand in the ISU Research Park. They hope to bring 20 new quality jobs to Ames.

Laboratorias Hipra

Spanish animal health company, Laboratorias Hipra (Hipra), has chosen to headquarter their U.S. operation in Ames, Iowa. Groundbreaking is expected Fall 2011 at the ISU Research Park.   

WebFilings

Three years after opening their doors in the ISU Research Park, WebFilings LLC, a software developer, recently announced they are expanding and will create 250 new jobs.

Global animal health and nutrition leader establishes home in the Heartland

Alltech recently opened their 16th North American office in Ames.

Flint Hills Resources comes to Ames

Flint Hills Resources, an ethanol plant, recently opened their doors in Ames and brought 20 new jobs to the area.

Ames 13th Geekiest City in U.S.

In August 2011, The National Science Foundation ranked the top 20 cities in the United States by the percentage of workers with jobs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Forbes: Ames is 5th fastest growing small city in U.S.

Using census estimates between 2006 and 2009, the Forbes calculated the growth rates for towns with populations less than 100,000 residents.
